Well. It looks like we're going to need some more upgrades if we're going to compete in Group E.
Unfortunately, I think we've come close to maxing out our humble MX5... The remaining available part is Traction Control, at a whopping 800k which is almost about everything we have left...
We could experiment with it, or add on bigger turbos etc, but we're really starting to hit diminishing returns at this stage.
So, as some of you have suggested, it's time…
...for a new car.
Let's go to the Shop!

It appears that by entering the group races, we've unlocked some new car models
We have:

The Toyota Celica GT-Four.
Ah yes the historic homologated rally car. This thing saw insane levels of rally success in the 1990s.
Nothing could keep up with it… Until they were banned entirely from the World Rally Championship once it was discovered that Toyota was blatantly cheating, in one of the most ingenious engineering feats in motorsport history.
Pick this one and we can tell that story…. (And it will give me a nice excuse to play some Sega Rally).

The Toyota MR2 GT-Turbo
Gods gift to motoring, the true symbol of power and beauty, the MR2 SW20.
This car should need no introduction to you guys because I never ever shut up about it
This beast shares the same engine as the Celica GT Four but in a horizontally mounted, mid engined rear wheel drive configuration that makes for amazingly sharp handling and track performance, with the occasional tendency to kill its driver.
It’s fast, it’s sexy, and one exists in my real garage. We've had it before, but I'll always have it again!
As proudly proclaimed on its limited edition floormats, the owner of this car is a True Man in Dandism, New Rich and Sports.

The Nissan Pulsar GTI-R
The prodigal Sunny returns!
This car should need no introduction here, what with all our precious memories of it being our main squeeze through most of Zero4Champ 2.
This little homologated hatch is an absolute weapon, is crazy fast stock, and surprisingly affordable… but it may be prone to the odd fire or two.

The Nissan S14 Silvia.
Ahh the Silvia Turbo. A beautifully refined car, and gods gift to drifting. We've encountered Silvia S13s in the first two games, but haven’t had the chance to get one for ourselves yet.
This one, the S14, the next generation, with a slightly tweaked look and characteristics. But underneath it's the same fantastic car. In-fact they were mostly the same platform all the way through to the end of the S15 in the mid aughts. The Silvia was the poster child of 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it.'
And finally...

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 2.
This is the next evolution (haw) of the Lancer GSR we had at the end of Zero4Champ 2, and is another example of a crazy homologated rally special.
Basically Mitsubishi race engineers took their little commuter sedan and decided to tinker with it until it was an absolute little space rocket, designed to travel sideways through forests at unbelievable speeds.
A fantastic option and should be another absolute weapon on track.
Now - there's just one little snag. We can't afford any of these yet.
However - the Shopkeep will offer us trade in on the MX5.

We’ll get about 1,316,200 yen for it, so we've got a spending capability of 2.4 mil as it stands… It's only just enough for the GTI-R, but nothing else.
To increase our choice pool, let's just window shop for now and hold the official voting for later, but feel free to make your position known early.
In the meantime, we're going to need to put in some work if we want to buy one of these beauties and all the mods that she deserves...
