Part 15: More like Cock-roached

Okay! I did it!

What did I do?

I defeated that stupid Super Famicom game…

All… 99… levels… of… it…

The last few levels were really painful. Those gold bugs have to be gassed 10 times to be defeated.

I eventually figured out I’d need to keep skipping my turn until they got close enough to each other, then I could gas several at once, then hope for random chance that others get caught in the crossfire.

It took… literal… hours… but I did it. I did it for you guys.

What was my reward?

This sparkly rainbow screen and message.

What does it translate to?

Congratulations. Now you can live a cockroach-free life.
You can send it.
“It’s a cockroach”

A free copy of the soundtrack? I just saw one of those CD's on eBay. It was going for $150!

Oh wait… this is not a CD… this is one of those ‘enter a name at the start and unlock stuff' things.

Boo. Oh well. Let’s start a new game and name ourselves “cockroach” like the description.

Well. We just get the same screen again, but it’s playing music this time. The title of this first track is ‘Energy’.

Hitting the arrow keys changes the song. There’s quite a few songs here, which is to be expected.

Amusingly, the music that’s played when we’re talking to our neighbour is called ‘Wig Life’

Ooh this one is in English. ‘Kiss Me’ huh? Looking forward to finding out how we hear that one for the first time…

The rockabilly song is called ‘Hula hoop’

...Anyway…

That was seriously not worth the time. As veterans of the first two games, we would have at least expected some pixelated boobs for all that effort.
