Ok! So the next few series of posts will go through some of the other features this game has, some random trivia as well as dive back into the story for a few amusing and missing content things I’ve found since.
I’ll start where we left off - the ending. When you finish this game (and Zero 4 Champ 1 for that matter), there’s no concept of ‘going back to the menu’.
It just stays on the end credits image until you get off your ass and turn the console off.
But with the credits open, I managed to trigger something somewhat interesting. I’m not sure exactly what I did, whether it was waiting a long time or hitting a certain button sequence, but eventually a counter appeared with ‘127 days’.

I had always suspected that the game was tracking in-game days spent, mainly because of all the ‘I’m tired I need to go to bed now’ transitions that seemingly serve no purpose when you've done a number of things for the day.

I assume the game originally planned to surface this information as you go, but they wisely hid it from the regular interface. I am surprised that they buried it behind debug code at the end however. It works as an interesting total score / speed run mechanism should anyone be crazy enough to try it..
In a bizarre coincidence, 127 days is almost exactly the same length of time between me posting the first post of Zero4Champ II and the last one - 132 days. Given it took me a few days to do the final video and first post, it's almost spot on.
I had to actually second guess myself and wonder if the game was reacting to an internal clock / calendar. But it's always 127 days from my last save state.
I guess we can say we had a real-time experience...
