Okay Goons, we've finally done it.

We've got the Wet Course Medals, the Ice Course Medal and the Normal Course Medal.

And with their powers combined, it spells WIN!

And what winners we are. We've traveled all around the USA and defeated all the Zero4 opponents and discovered all the jobs.

According to Bing Maps, we’ve travelled well over 56906 km, and driving time has been in excess of 513 hours, or 21 days straight.

This is based on a simple point to point of all the locations we’ve visited, and doesn’t take into account the multiple times we went back to LA to pick up cars, or to Dallas to visit Arnie, or many of the other round trips we’ve made. So the number is likely much higher... Boy, the things we do in search of medals.

With our three medals in tow, it’s time for us to take on the USA Champ!

First thing however… is to figure out how on earth we’re supposed to do that…

No new UI options seem to have appeared, and we seem to be able to move around the country, and complete jobs as per usual. My best guess is we're going to have to go back to LA to call Dr Claw to organise the final race...

But before we do that, I suspect we're about to trigger the end game, so I want to ensure we tie off any loose ends.

And there was one thing we haven’t engaged with yet.

Remember that guy in the pink suit in Houston said something about a casino in Miami?

We didn't see anything when we were there, but perhaps we missed it. Let's head there now.

: Phew, we finally arrived.

I’m guessing like Las Vegas, this Casino might be the equivalent of a Part Time Job

: A part-time job? There are so many high-end stores like this. It doesn't look like they'll let me stay…

Well, that was not very helpful. Let's try Talk

: What should we talk about?

Hrm. Maybe there's something here we missed. Let's try Look

: Miami is a coffee shop.There wasn't.

Ok. There's gotta be something that unlocks this Casino. Circuit?

: There's no need to do it here anymore.

Not helpful either…. Shop?

No, that’s just the regular car shop…

Huh.. Let’s try Look again.

:: Huh? There's something strange there.

: There's an entrance.

: Maybe I'll go.

Finally - it did something!

It’s very strange and hard to trigger these events. It seems I need to just keep trying the default options several times until I get the right order and something eventually unlocks.

Makes me wonder if there’s other stuff i’m missing.

Oh, this looks like a fancy pair of doors, with their very own bow-tied attendant. I gather this is an illegal private casino since gambling is mostly outlawed outside casinos in Florida.

: Welcome. This is a members only casino. Who introduced you?

Uh, well shit… it has given us an input field… that’s all in Japanese… Anyone know the Japanese character for ‘cigar smoking guy in pink suit from Houston?’

Let's see what happens when you enter any old thing…

: You cannot enter our store without a member introduction. It is as follows.

Damn. Well, I guess I can machine translate the options.

Ah, something is stirring in the long disused part of my brain from high school Japanese class… the Japanese language uses primarily Ah Ee Ou Eh Oh sounds, with different starting consonant...

Maybe we can figure this out…

What did that pink guy say again?

: What's my name? I told you before, it's Macky.

: Macky, make a note of it somewhere. Bye then.

Ah. So this is why he repeated his name twice, unprovoked… he was setting us up for this moment!

Well, we have to convince this guy we know a Macky. I tried matching it phonetically with the translated alphabet input field, but didn't have much luck. I suspect the input field is mostly wrong since it's trying to translate it into words, not letters.

I then decided to see if I could decipher the original Japanese. Here's where Macky said his name.

The first sentence ends with マッキー or ‘Makkī’

That's gotta be it!

: This is an introduction from Mackie. Please come in.

Alright! Here we go guys…

: Welcome

: If you have any questions about the rules, please press the select button at each corner to call an attendant.

: What should I do?

Aw. Drat. It's just a carbon copy of Las Vegas. Images, music, games and all… apparently the same playboy bunny even works here.

It's disappointing, given that this game has so much unique art elsewhere, the copy and pasting here feels out place.

We won't stick around here too long, because there's U.S.A championships to be won, but it seems like our luck statistic here is better than it is in Vegas in general. This is also likely helped by the Golden Cairo item we're holding.

I won't bother covering it, but in my brief time experimenting here I was dealt much better hands at blackjack, and actually managed to win something from a slot machine this time.

So it actually makes the Casino a valid way of making more cash now. Perhaps this was done purposefully so players aren't immediately flush with cash, making the mini games unimportant to progression.
