Okay we're back!

When we last were with Hiro, the Mayor of the wild west country town of Denver was deputizing Hiro.

: So you become sheriff and take them down!

: Can you beat him?

: That's not me…

: No, you took down that purse snatcher with one hit!

: You can do it.

I dunno… this feels like another security guard mini game, and I gotta be honest… that New York one took a really long time…

: The highest prize money is available.

: Huh? There's a prize?

: Maybe I should give it a go.

Now we're speaking. Monetary rewards!

: If that's what you've decided, act quickly. Please come right away.

: Oh no, I'm not there yet.

: Behind this office is a gang of thugs.

: It’s become a hangout spot.

Wait. The thugs hang out behind the Mayors office? Wow. This guy is a piss-poor mayor.

Good thing Sheriff Hiro is here! We’ll beat the shit out of those thugs.

: Your job is to beat them all up and get them out of this town.

Violence solves everything. I'm sure a good beating and they'll never return.

: By the way, the further back you go, the stronger the enemies are.

: Please be careful. Thank you.

: Oh, I still do it…

And we're in the mini game! Interesting, it looks like the security guard mini game has had a complete, western styled reskin.

Instead of the boring corridors and steel doors, now we have these buildings with windows and swing saloon doors!

These work similar to the office buildings. Each room has a chance to be empty, spring an enemy on you, or have an treasure chest.

Something's fallen…

: I got Alnamin B! "Let's drink it." Gulp…

: It's okay!

: Okay! No abnormalities!

A troublemaker has appeared!

the loud mouth is playing the rattle

swinging it around

Hiro dodged it well!

What should we do?

…....What the hell is this guy?

..... It looks like a baby...

I, uh… don't know if we should kill this little guy...

...Well, I guess the Mayor wants us to... so…

Hiro attacks!

Deals 2344 damage.

You defeated the troublemaker!

Oh well. It's done. I'm sure that won't come back to haunt us…

Let's continue on...

It suddenly attacked me!
Enemy attack!

Gah! It's another one!

This one appears to be holding a lollipop, and an Axe.

I’d also swear that he's cosplaying as a Minion, but we're about 20 years too early for that.

No wonder the Mayor was so afraid to visit the back of his office. Just who the hell are these guys and what are they doing here?

Oh good, a fellow officer of the law…

Look buddy, that baby was coming straight for us, that rattle he was holding was probably a hidden knife, and the text said he was a troublemaker, and the Mayor told us to…

Wait. It says this is a fake police officer!

Fancy wearing a police badge and thinking you're a real cop. Our police badge was earned in the skyscrapers of New York.

Take him down!

And there's fake sheriffs too!

Hey buddy. There's only room for one Sheriff in this here town. Feel the sting of a Jet Enema!

As we continue, the enemies get more and more… western.

Thanks to our literal hours spent leveling up in The Empire State Building, none of these guys post a threat. On the rare occurrence I'm surprised if one survives a single hit from Sheriff Hiro. If they do, they never survive the second.

It's not just people we run into either…

And perhaps, fitting in with the western theme…

We don't call Native Americans Indians anymore Hiro.

Especially the evil ones.

Whilst many of these are slight variants on each other, I'm still amazed at how much unique art is in this game!

I feel after being stuck with the tiny PC Engine cartridge storage space throughout the first game, when the developers were given the additional space offered by a CD ROM they just went crazy.

Whilst there's no perverts around here, the old West still has a steady supply of Dirty Books.

Eventually we come across, what I gather are the boss characters.

I wonder if these guys are based on someone from Japanese pop culture.

They take a few more hits than usual, but nothing Hiro can't handle. We haven't even needed to use the Chloroform!

You defeated the assassin!
My level is now 160!

Got the vital needle!

Sadly it seems the item they drop is one we already have.

Well that's it. Time to return.

: Oh, Hiro, are you okay?

: I was worried because it was late.

Oh we're fine, other than some lingering doubts around slaughtering all those odd looking babies.

: Looks like you worked hard today too.

: Yes, the prize money is $9,200. I added some color

.
: Thank you very much!

Not bad!

…Though a bit more effort involved than guessing how much a fat man ate.
