It's not only Sexy Women we'll encounter in this crazy Empire State Underworld however. Occasionally we might run into a Beautiful Woman








The Beautiful Woman asks us to stop by for a bit.


If we do, we're treated to a similar black screen and animated dots.











This time Hiro says his body feels lighter, and we get increased defense stats!

Unlike the Sexy Woman however, with the Beautiful Woman Hiro's nose stays dry.

Let's face it, you all thought this was going to be yet another tasteless transvestite joke, didn't you?

… Well, the game has those too.

On occasion we'll run into theBeautiful Woman, and get a different result in the black screen.

















And once again, the game shows its prejudice against transexual people by implying Hiro will take physical damage from interacting with them…


…Moving on…


As we get further up the tower, the enemies start to get tougher.











As tough as it's getting, as Hiro's level increases we finally start to unlock more special techniques than just the forehead flick. At level 80 we have a total of 5.

The Super Dekopin, which is a different translation of forehead flick. (I love that the Japanese have a word for Forehead Flick, incidentally)

The Hyperbar Shippe (I don't know what this means)

The Miracle Cloth

The Umeboshi Special (which sometimes translates to Pickled Plum Special)

And… the latest weapon in our arsenal

The Jet Enema!








Eventually all the addicts, murders and thieves make way for the Military Soldiers.





I thought perhaps introducing soldiers was the only way the government could deal with the undesirable infestation of murderers within the Empire State Building, but it appears they’re in cahoots.





Even at level 90, and with special techniques like the Jet Enema up my… sleeve, I'm struggling to defeat these guys.

I guess we'll just have to keep grinding…
