Fun side notes about the Isuzu Piazza from this drive article!
The first generation of this car (i.e not the one in this game) was sold in Australia as the Holden Piazza, and was the (then) most expensive car that Holden ever sold. It was sold on April the 1st, at a staggering $34,000 (over 100k in today dollars), ensuring people thought Holden was taking the piss. Not long after it went on sale they dropped the price by $5000, and refunded customers that had purchased one.
It was a huge sales flop for Holden. Aussies, who loved their locally built muscle cars, were turned off by this weird Japanese thing that was pretending to be Italian, rebadged as if it was Australian. Apparently this first generation was also plagued with performance issues as well, leading a local auto magazine to call it 'the most frightening car we've tested in a long time'
It was so bad, that they only ever sold 200 of them. As such, they're quite rare today, and I'm only aware of them because one takes a proud place in our local automotive museum.

But one interesting factoid, apparently it has wind screen wipers that increase in speed based on the cars acceleration.
...So maybe this feature carried over to the second generation and Cannon Fodders car just had the wrong motor wired up.
