Ok! With all those shenanigans aside, it seems we are done with Key West.

We can continue to work at the diner, but it appears that Brittany is gone for good.

However, a silver lining is that it seems like this is a pretty easy way to cheese money. Unlike the other minigames where you have to be actively involved in flying chickens, racing cars, gambling or walking dogs, this one is nothing but a short animation with no chance of failure that nets $300 each time.

So we can keep handing the job button to earn a bunch of cash. Even if it takes awhile.

Interestingly, after you do it around 5 times, the day ends, and you get the scene of Hiro going to bed / waking up in the RV.

This ‘time passing’ indication happens with a lot of the jobs, or if you do several repeated races. It feels to me like there's some sort of time component that is tracking the amount of activities in a day, and possibly the overall days spent.

This was a thing in the first game, where it displayed the date and Hiro's age, advancing time a week between each activity, but I haven't seen a equivalent display here.

Perhaps you'll get it as score at the end, or it was a component taken out late in development because it doesn't really gel with the story to have Hiro age a number of years.

Anyway, we're all not getting any younger here, so let's plan our next stop.

Where to Goons?
