Ok goons, it's decided. We're going to Key West, Florida!

Why, a relatively short trip this time. Only 27 hours!

:
Is this the Key West that the great writer Hemingway loved?

:
It's a beautiful city.
It sure is Hiro. Looks like a lovely place.
Interestingly, I didn't really know anything about Key West, so I googled it prior to coming here and saw a bunch of results mentioning Ernest Hemingway. Apparently he used to live here. I didn’t expect the game to mention that though!
Here's a fun fact for everyone, his old house is museum today, and is populated with over 60 cats, many of which are 'polydactyl', meaning they have six toes on their paws. They are supposedly all descendants of Hemingway's cat, who had this polydactyl gene.

The more you know.
Also, we can see a sign in the picture here - ‘Shorty’s D’
Presumably this is not referring to rap lyrics, but to ‘Shorty’s Diner’, a Key West staple for over a century, before closing in 1989. Supposedly it was a frequent spot for President Harry Truman himself.
Anyway, now we've completed the walking tour and learned the entire history of Key West, let's talk to a local about the racing scene!

:
Zero Yon? I'm in Key West. I've lived here for over 10 years. I've never heard of that.
Damn. Well, I guess there's no racing here. What about a store?

:
There doesn't seem to be any shops
Okay. Well, the only option left is part time job

:
There's no way there's a part-time job in a place like this.
Oh. Odd. Then what is the point of this place?

:
Hmm? "Part-time job wanted at Sea House"?

:
There it is! Let's go.
… Why do you keep doing that to me Hiro?

And here we are at the Part Time Job! It looks like ‘Sea House’ is a cafe overlooking the beach.
Wow, look at all these young cool people. I thought you said Key West was for retirees?
… Though, I guess this was 32 years ago.

:
Welcome

:
Look at that part-time job recruitment poster. I came here.

:
Oh, I see, you're going to work part-time.

:
I wonder if they'll start doing it today.

:
Yes, that's fine.

:
Well please.
… I think we got the job? Starting immediately?
Is this really what it was like in the early 90s? You would just walk onto a store, say ‘one job please’ and they gave you one on the spot?
No wonder boomers have all that ‘pull yourself up by the bootstraps’ mentality.

Well that was quick. Hiro has a job now as a waiter, delivering drinks.
We even get some cool animation of Hiro walking across the room.

:
Hey, hey

Well, hello there. It sounds like someone is trying to get our attention...

:
yes?

Whoah.... Who’s this?

:
I've never seen you before. Are you the new guy?

:
Yes, I'm starting my part-time job today…

:
Wow, you're cute. It's my preference ♥

Oh… oh my…... She's giving us the sultry bedroom eyes….
Remind me… what was the situation with Kayo-chan again? We're officially on break, right?
I mean, I don’t think we’ve spoken to her since we left her hanging, thinking we were cheating on her with Asami-san… Not to mention the whole ‘abandoning her kid brother in a foreign country’ thing…
… this is fair game… right?

:
Oh really?

:
Eh? Are you older than me? I thought it was about 18.

:
Japanese people look young. I thought you were older too.
Ooh, Hiro, American women just love it when you say they look older than they are.

:
I'm still 19 years old. But more than that, I have a small request.

:
Please?

:
Actually, this is my first time in Key West. Could you show me around the city?

:
(Huh That's weird, it's my first time. Why am I the newbie? You got it, right?)

:
Hey, can you show me around?

Oh… she’s giving us the eyes again…

:
No, I just got here too. I can't give you any directions.
No, no Hiro! You got this. You know a ton of facts about Key West. Like how the president liked to visit Shorty's Diner. Plus the whole 6 toed cat thing… Lead with that!

:
Then let's go swimming together. Isn't that nice?
The game is giving us an option here. Yes or No
Now I usually defer to you goons when it comes to matters of the opposite sex, but I'm going to try my hat at it for this post. Besides, we’re all going to pick ‘yes’, right?

:
Yes please….

:
Finish my shift. I'll be waiting on the beach.
Ooh boy. It's a date!

:
Hiro, you can go up now. You've got $300 in your part-time pay.

:
Thank you very much.
Nice one. A new job, a new date and a new paycheck all in one day!
Key West is looking pretty good for us right now.

And now we find ourselves at the beach with the lovely stranger. Since the game hasn't deigned to give her a name, let's call her Brittany, because that sounds like the name of a girl you'd meet on the beach in Florida in the 90s.

:
Sorry for the wait.

:
Why don't you sit down?
Ok we have three options:
- Sit next to someone
- Sit on
- Staring without sitting down
Is that… a suggestion that we sit on Brittany?
Well, as much as we’d like to, with all good intentions I'm sure, perhaps it might be seen as somewhat perverted.
But would sitting next to her be too forward?
Would we come across as awkward?
What if we fail the sitting action and she thinks less of us?
Are we really sure she's actually into us? Maybe she was only being polite by asking us to swim with her…
Ah I can't decide!
For now let’s just continue to stare at her.

:
What are you looking at! Just sit down.
Oh ok! I think she’s asking us to sit on her after all. Let’s try that option.

:
Ah what are you doing !

Oh, I don’t think she liked that…
The screen suddenly flashed as if we attacked in a battle…

:
How rude of me!

:
That was a bad idea all of a sudden
Oops. Well, we got a new Hiro face out of it if anything else.

Ok, let’s rewind time a bit. Let’s try and sit next to her instead.

Yes, yes… this is much better..

:
Want something to drink?
We’ve been given another three options:
- Should I get some
- No, I don't need it now.
- Let's go for a swim instead.
Ok Goons. I’m not sure if I should be entrusted with decision making anymore.I'm filled with nerves and paralysed by indecision.
Which option do we choose?
