Ok. We're safe and sound back in our motorhome. Where was RoboCop when you needed him?

But… it turns out that it wasn’t just one of our cars those detroit thugs destroyed. It was both cars!

Trying to do any of the car inventory management stuff now simply results in Hiro saying:

: I don’t have a car…

: Damn, I saw it at first sight…

: I didn’t realise Japan bashing was that intense.

I was going to make some sort of joke about the persecution of long oppressed JDM car fans , but I looked up Vincent Chin who was mentioned earlier, and holy shit. Detroit was not a good place to be Asian in the 1980s.

: What happened to my car…

*bring bring*

: Hello, it’s Gold Rush

Gold Rush? What kind of a name is that. That’s clearly Shifty, our mechanic.

: Gold Rush?

: It's a car shop in Los Angeles.

: Ah, the shopkeeper.

: What happened? The police said your car. It was mangled and thrown away.

: I got a call to come and pick it up.

Wait, so Shifty just casually drives from LA to Detroit and back?

: Really? Actually, I'm surrounded by guys from Detroit. I barely escaped with my life.

: Huh? You went to Detroit in a Japanese car? That's not good. Next time I go, You'll have to leave your car there.

: And then there's the car...It'll cost about $10,000 to repair. It looks like it will take some time.

Well. Shit. That's just about all our money entirely....

: Eh, it costs that much?

: Anyway, it's a mess.Or just stop repairing it. Should I buy a new one?

: Stop joking. I'll come and get it next time, so please fix it. Well then, thank you.

: Oh, 10,000 dollars…

Well, I had intended to use our Vegas winnings on a new car, but I guess that isn't happening just yet.

Unfortunately the game doesn't seem to give you the option to accept the loss, and buy a new car instead because now would have been a good time.
