I only just now figured out what that means!
We won't let it ride. We've got enough in cash that we should be able to buy us a new car, should we come across an auto dealer in one of our next locations.
For those interested, the roulette game is pretty simple. We have $10 and $50 chips that we can place on the board.
Unfortunately, in reality you can't do what I purportedly just did - I.e. the game doesn't let you stack the chips on a single point.
I can see why. Because you can save your progress, people would just bet everything, and if they lose, reload the save.
Which I may have tried to do…
I wonder how pre-seeded things are, whether you could just trivially savestate your way to massive bucks at the roulette table to skip any grinding.
It seems the casino in general is set up to ensure you can't abuse it too much, in the interests of making the game balanced. Everytime I used saved states to put it in our favour it doesn't seem to work. It's not like it's random either - it seems positioned to make you lose most of the time. I really do wonder if a future item could affect the outcome.
Anyway Goons, just like in real life, Vegas is fun to visit for a single evening but its welcome quickly wears off, and you start to see just how skeezy and depressing it all is.
Still, she was good to us. We're leaving with a reasonable amount of cash burning a hole in our pocket.
So, it's time, once again, for us to hit the road.
Where to next?
