Putting Japanese and early 90s transphobia aside for a minute, I am endlessly curious how the word 'Camaro' is supposed to be a clue here.
Is Camaro a Japanese word? Some double entendre that also could refer to cross dressing / transexual? Does it sound like another word? Anyone who speaks Japanese care to comment?
Interestingly the word ’Camaro’ as it applies to the car model doesn't mean anything. In fact, it was ‘made up’ by Chevy because it sounded sporty, and matched their ‘name everything with a C’ convention.

Apparently Okama is a Japanese term for rice pot that was initially used as a slur against homosexual men or crossdressers, which has since evolved into a self identity term, not unlike how ‘queer’ or ‘gay’ is used in English nowadays.
