Toad Cricket seems an appropriate name for this little nugget… It's a Toyota 800!
Now this car is OLD - and though I guess all cars in this 34 year old game are old now, this was old in 1991 old…
This was Toyota's first ever sports car, released in 1965...
A teeny tiny little thing, these guys had a whopping 40 horsepower coming out of their little 800cc engine.
A true little piece of Japanese automotive history, that would take a prideful place in a museum.
So what the heck is it doing on a race track?

That… really is not a lot, given we are racing against some true monsters at this time in the game…

Mamiyo, one again raising the standards for females in motorsport.
I do wonder if minutes was supposed to translate to seconds here, because giving her a two minute head start seems rather overkill in a 12 second race.
Now, the interesting thing here was that Mamiyo is rank #3. If you recall, Hiro started this journey at rank #150 and had to defeat racers on his journey upwards.
So for her to get to this position…
