Well. I suppose that last scene could benefit from a little explanation.
I guess Hiro is working as a security guard? Hiro went and checked every room in the mystery hallway. Most rooms had nothing in them. He then heard a noise behind one of them.
Usually when this happens, and what I expected to see, was a rat, which is what I referred to in the intro. Hiro shoos it away, and you continue your search.

I expected that to happen when recorded it, but this time Hiro discovered an intruder, which is a rare occurrence. Specifically, a ‘Book Thief'.
The game then goes into a final fantasy battle... I kid you not.

We see on the top left that Hiro (yes, it says Bacon - I regret not setting that as my name) has 150 Health Points, 0 Magic points and 18... whatever ‘A’ is.
There’s three possible options to choose from.
Selecting ‘Fight’ deals around 32 points of damage to the thief.
Selecting ‘Magic’ humbly reminds you that Hiro doesn’t have any.
Well, actually it says “The tekumaku mama-con man is, how pitiful!”
Selecting ‘Tools’ makes Hiro grab something from the environment to use in the battle.
When I tried, he threw tissue paper at the Thief.

It’s not very effective…
Ultimately, Hiro was knocked out by the thief, and left unconscious on the floor.
He woke up some time later.

:
Ouch, ouch, what happened to me?

:
That’s right. There was a thief! Good thing nothing was taken. It’s embarrassing, so let’s just keep quiet.
Uh, I don’t know Hiro… this sounds like the sort of thing you absolutely should not keep quiet about… You just had the shit beat out of you by a masked intruder! Shouldn't we call the police?

Uh, I guess not...
Well, it seems we got out of the Economy Centre… alive… and made 30,000 yen for our troubles. That’s three times the money we got at the arcade, and it only cost us severe trauma, bruising and a short term concussion!
