Alright. Here we are at Nerima Auto. That was an amusing interlude, but I expect the game will let us tune our car now.

We're introduced to Stubborn Gan-San. I wonder how he got that name.

: Ummm... I want to do a 0-400 and have it tuned up.

: What? 0-400 is a normal thing. That's not something I should do. Don't get excited.

What, how'd I get back to here? Did that guy just slam his door in our face? How on earth do I tune my car?

You know what. I can be stubborn too. I'm going to select 'Shop' again and go back.

: I was sent back last time. Let's go for now.

: You're here again! No matter how many times it comes, it's useless. Go back! Go back!

What... seriously? I'm going back.

: You! Don't you understand what "Runa" means? This time, I won't let you off the hook!

What back here again?!? Dammit asshole, no I don't know what Runa means. But what's he going to do, sabotage my car? Let's go back.

: I'll tune it for you, but there's a fee. Sign this document.

Finally! Some progress. Maybe Stubborn Gan-San is allright after all. Let's view this document.

"I am (a customer of) Nerima Auto.

No matter what damage is done to my car, I will not complain"

I'm prompted with a 'Yes / No' dialog.

This all seems legit. I'm going to say yes.

: What? You want to sign it? That means it doesn't matter if your car gets destroyed.

: Are you still going to sign it?

Again, I'm prompted with a 'Yes / No' dialog. Maybe this isn't such a good idea.

Eh, what could go wrong?

: I don't know much about this dad. But I know he loves cars...

: That type of person would never intentionally wreck one.

I don't know if it was a wise idea to call this guy Dad or try to call him on a bluff, Hiro.

: I'm the loser. Let's give it a squeeze. I'll take your money.

Huh. We either just won the argument or will prematurely end the game with a broken March.

Wait why am I here again!? I thought you said you were going to tune my car for a squeeze... 'Dad'.

: You're back. What's it like today?

I'm presented with two options. Parts, and Tune Up.

Parts

Tune Up

Aww yeah. Here we go. This is probably one of the earliest examples I've seen this sort of thing in a video-game. There's options here for mufflers, tyres, spoilers, turbos, extractors. I want everything.

There's an option here for financial aid. Is Stubborn Gan-san going to fund our Zero Four adventure? Let's see.

...Oh, it actually gives us a description of which tune up means. Apparently 'Financial Aid' actually means 'Make your body lighter'. So either it's a weight removal in the car, or Hiro is going on a strict diet.
