Ok. We're back, and need to get this thing tuned. Let's select 'Shop' from the menu.

: But I've never been to a shop.

What? Oh, I guess Hiro doesn't get out of his bedroom much.

: That's right! Let's check the phone number.

I'm guessing we're calling them on the phone instead?

This is another interesting feature of Zero4Champ. We are greeted with Hiros personal Rolodex of all the top tuners Japan has to offer.

There's two whole pages of shops here. Most are in Japanese, but a few have English names:

I even recognise some of these. Misno is clearly a reference to Nismo, the legendary Nissan tuning brand, Inpul = Impul, albeit with that fun thing you used to be able to do 20+ years ago in videogames and tv shows where you do a slight tweak to the name and that somehow completely avoids copyright infringement.

I always did love the Toreno from Initial D, and the Madoa Rooster and Mitsubachi Lagnars in Tokyo Extreme Racer...

Sorry. Got distracted again.

Given we're reppin’ the big N in our Nissan March, it seems a no brainer to choose Nismo.

: Umm… I want to do a 0-400 and get it tuned up…

:phone: We don’t do 0-400 tunes. *click*

Well. That was rude. Well, plenty of others here. Let's try INPUL.

Ok. I'm sensing a pattern here. Let’s try OPHCON, since it’s the other one in English.

What do these assholes have against Zero4? Don't they know it's the toughest race? One mistake and you're out?

C’mon, it's 1991 and we’re at the height of Japan's boom economy. Take our damn money!

Perhaps if we translate the names we might be able to downselect something that makes sense.

'Ero Motors' huh? Let’s give that a try. I wonder what ‘Ero’ was a translation for?

Oh… I don’t think that one was a tuning shop…

I think I’ve almost given up. We’ve called just about every single tuner shop in Japan. There’s just one left. ‘Orikin Auto’

Whoah - we got a bite! Wait, did I call Ero Motors again?

: Ok. Let's go visit the shop!
